The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Boulogne F.C.'s Rodolfo Orti threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Donato Trentini, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Donato Trentini took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodolfo Orti. Rodolfo Orti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Marcelo Martins who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Rodolfo Orti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rodolfo Orti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Nicholas, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Constitución FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelo Martins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Kusti Haug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Orti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Trentini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Boulogne F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Tano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Gitano in the 30th minute of play forced Boulogne F.C.'s goalkeeper Ask Stamnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Boulogne F.C. getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Quilo Correa hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Constitución FC's Kusti Haug sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ask Stamnes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Constitución FC's Rodolfo Orti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Constitución FC from getting a goal against them. Rodolfo Orti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Trentini in the 40th minute of play. Gogo Nicholas kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Constitución FC's Kusti Haug broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mauricio Tano made the kick off in the second half. Boulogne F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
