The audience was convinced that John-David Lee's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro Cresencio was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Esteve Formerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee ignored Celta de Virgos's protests and gave Rigoberto Etxahun a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Celta de Virgos got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Etxahun. In the 73rd minute, Rigoberto Etxahun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, one of Celta de Virgos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Celta de Virgos. 77 minutes into the match, Celta de Virgos's goal looked a bit too open when Mckinley Vadnais came free, but Teodoro Cresencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Cresencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John-David Lee in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, John-David Lee had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Cresencio.
