Celta de Virgos's Zacarias Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Cristofor in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Alexis Sanchez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Silverio Belo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Celta de Virgos's Zacarias Ascencio. Zacarias Ascencio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Cristofor in the 19th minute of play forced Celta de Virgos's goalkeeper Zacarias Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Ruben Iturri made a precise shot to the right of Zacarias Ascencio. Celta de Virgos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Silverio Belo took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zacarias Ascencio. Zacarias Ascencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Belo in the 31st minute of play. The Capillitas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 38 minutes into the match, Celta de Virgos's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Cristofor came free, but Zacarias Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 played minutes Celta de Virgos got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Madeo. Zacarias Ascencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Belo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benny Niva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Uriel Cristofor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zacarias Ascencio came out and tried to block the shot, but Uriel Cristofor slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 51st minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Benny Niva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celta de Virgos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benny Niva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, Uriel Cristofor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capillitas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. After 59 minutes of play Capillitas's Fernan Chorche was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Capillitas's Fernan Chorche got a free kick in the 60th minute. Silverio Belo's late challenge caught a Celta de Virgos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silverio Belo helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Capillitas got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Belo. Feliberto Ferdinand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benny Niva's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Benny Niva kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Zacarias Ascencio made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Uriel Cristofor sent off a good shot on target. 79 minutes into the game, Capillitas's Silverio Belo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zacarias Ascencio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Uriel Cristofor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Zacarias Ascencio made a huge save. A collision led to Celta de Virgos getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Christos Skondras hit a great ball. Silverio Belo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zacarias Ascencio having to make a save. Silverio Belo took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zacarias Ascencio. Zacarias Ascencio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. 95 minutes into the game, Alexis Sanchez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
