The corner led La Fenix's Eloy Truylos to fire away a dangerous shot which Cosme Ihintza despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the AVE FENIX defense, Octavio Salvator kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cosme Ihintza. The AVE FENIX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cosme Ihintza should have stopped the shot. When La Fenix's Octavio Salvator in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AVE FENIX's goalie prevented a goal. 15 minutes into the match, Octavio Salvator had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cosme Ihintza. AVE FENIX's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavio Salvator was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 20th minute of the match La Fenix got a corner. AVE FENIX's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eloy Truylos ran over to the corner to take the kick. La Fenix's Eloy Truylos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cosme Ihintza in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 22 minutes into the match, AVE FENIX's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Salvator came free, but Cosme Ihintza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Octavio Salvator cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Cosme Ihintza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to AVE FENIX getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Moises Bernal hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavio Salvator in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosme Ihintza saved AVE FENIX from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Octavio Salvator put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Cosme Ihintza. Cosme Ihintza came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by La Fenix's Octavio Salvator. But to his dismay, Octavio Salvator quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. La Fenix's Octavio Salvator got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemente Sansone to make the kick off. Ladislao Lobo took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eliseo Tolino. Eliseo Tolino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Cosme Ihintza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Sansone in the 58th minute of the match. After 59 minutes AVE FENIX's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eloy Truylos who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Hernandez in the 62nd minute of play forced AVE FENIX's goalkeeper Cosme Ihintza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by AVE FENIX's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eloy Truylos was slow to take the kick. During this time La Fenix's players had a chance to rest. The corner led La Fenix's Eloy Truylos to fire away a dangerous shot which Cosme Ihintza despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Eloy Truylos succeeded in the game's 63rd minute to get real power on a long shot . AVE FENIX's Cosme Ihintza hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-7! A collision led to AVE FENIX getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Moises Bernal hit a great ball. After 68 minutes of play, La Fenix's Clemente Sansone made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cosme Ihintza was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Moises Bernal was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. A collision led to AVE FENIX getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Moises Bernal hit a great ball. Clemente Sansone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cosme Ihintza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Sansone, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, AVE FENIX's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Sansone came free, but Cosme Ihintza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Ladislao Lobo notched a goal, 2-8, to the right of La Fenix's Eliseo Tolino. Eliseo Tolino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Clemente Sansone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Ihintza having to interfere. A collision led to AVE FENIX getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. German Tartalo hit a great ball. Cosme Ihintza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Sansone went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-9 was the resulting score. The La Fenix supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Fenix would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
