With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusebio Jago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Placido Erasto fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AVE FENIX's protests and gave Placido Erasto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, AVE FENIX's Placido Erasto got a free kick in the 4th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Anastasio Hori was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AVE FENIX's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave THE PAPAGUACHAS the free kick. In the 10th minute, Anastasio Hori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, AVE FENIX's Sebastian Viator got a free kick in the 11th minute. Hernán Crespo, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Cosme Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Mesquita in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in AVE FENIX's zone, Felice Cieri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cosme Ihintza came out of the goal and Felice Cieri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Benigno Quintana fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored THE PAPAGUACHAS's protests and gave Benigno Quintana a yellow card for diving instead. Benigno Quintana kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Ovidio Frederik notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of AVE FENIX's Cosme Ihintza. Cosme Ihintza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eusebio Jago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Erasto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernán Crespo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, AVE FENIX's German Tartalo got a free kick in the 40th minute. If Ovidio Frederik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 45th minute Samuel Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Ihintza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute, Samuel Mesquita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for German Tartalo to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, AVE FENIX's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Mesquita came free, but Cosme Ihintza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felice Cieri kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A hard shot by Placido Erasto from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Eusebio Jago's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of AVE FENIX booed when THE PAPAGUACHAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberth Rydstrøm didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Samuel Mesquita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosme Ihintza was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. 64 minutes into the game, Samuel Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 74th minute of the match Placido Erasto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eusebio Jago skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Hernán Crespo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Hernán Crespo managed to get in a good position for a shot. THE PAPAGUACHAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernán Crespo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosme Ihintza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusebio Jago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Hori in the 91st minute of play. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for THE PAPAGUACHAS! THE PAPAGUACHAS:s Eusebio Jago showed great skill when he stopped Placido Erasto:s penalty. With his leg Eusebio Jago managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when AVE FENIX's German Tartalo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
