The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Conrao got free with Eusebio Jago in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the game, Arturo Herauso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eusebio Jago. Arturo Herauso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After having played for 9 minutes, Arturo Herauso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LOS GALACTICOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Herauso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 11 minutes of play, THE PAPAGUACHAS's Ovidio Frederik made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virgil Găman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eusebio Jago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Herauso in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Galsino in the 20th minute of play forced THE PAPAGUACHAS's goalkeeper Eusebio Jago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Hermengildo Galsino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eusebio Jago. The goal made the score 2-1. After a rather tough play, LOS GALACTICOS's Felix Veronica got a free kick in the 28th minute. Virgil Găman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernán Crespo in the 29th minute of play. THE PAPAGUACHAS's Eusebio Jago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Herauso in the 32nd minute of play. If Samuel Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Jago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Herauso in the 39th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 50th match minute, LOS GALACTICOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Chago to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes THE PAPAGUACHAS got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Uxio. A.J. Adams took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eusebio Jago. Eusebio Jago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by A.J. The THE PAPAGUACHAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusebio Jago should have stopped the shot. THE PAPAGUACHAS made a substitution. Osvaldo Celio replaced Alberth Rydstrøm. 89 minutes into the match, A.J. Adams notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of THE PAPAGUACHAS's Eusebio Jago. Eusebio Jago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arturo Herauso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
