German Tartalo started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, AVE FENIX's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Nascimento came free, but Cosme Ihintza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Tobias Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. GUSESI's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosme Ihintza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute of the match, German Tartalo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thibaut Courtois was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thibaut Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Hori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 minutes GUSESI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Placido Erasto who took care of the corner kick. 14 minutes into the match, AVE FENIX's Anastasio Hori sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thibaut Courtois narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind AVE FENIX's goalkeeper Cosme Ihintza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to AVE FENIX getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Maximino Lizbeth hit a great ball. Cosme Ihintza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Nascimento in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Luis Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Ihintza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basri Tanyeli kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. GUSESI's Thibaut Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Hori in the 22nd minute of play. Cosme Ihintza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Tonete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosme Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Favila in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Nemesio Lobo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AVE FENIX's Cosme Ihintza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Favila in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Luis Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Ihintza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Anastasio Hori fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AVE FENIX's protests and gave Anastasio Hori a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, AVE FENIX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Hori to maneuver through the defense. In the 35thth minute of the game Leandro Ederono who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AVE FENIX's Cosme Ihintza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Favila in the 36th minute of play forced AVE FENIX's goalkeeper Cosme Ihintza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Vicente Garaona was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AVE FENIX's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GUSESI the free kick. GUSESI's Hugo Sánchez was substituted for Ovidio Favila. In the 43rd match minute, AVE FENIX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Garaona to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to AVE FENIX getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Vicente Garaona hit a great ball. The supporters of GUSESI booed when AVE FENIX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Garaona didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobias Nascimento to make the kick off. Hugo Sánchez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute German Tartalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibaut Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Hori in the 84th minute of play. AVE FENIX's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Placido Erasto in the 85th minute. AVE FENIX's German Tartalo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thibaut Courtois in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luis Tonete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Cosme Ihintza made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobias Nascimento got free with Cosme Ihintza in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cosme Ihintza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Tonete in the 95th minute. AVE FENIX were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of GUSESI for a fine match.
