With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Mercurio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dario Hussains short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Orlando Mercurio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Dario Hussain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon Platense's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Hussain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Mercurio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Leon Platense booed when ATYLAS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selçuk Durcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Leon Platense's Hernán Leandro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Orlando Mercurio. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Gaafar Carrillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ATYLAS FC's Orlando Mercurio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hernán Leandro might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Orlando Mercurio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernán Leandro ran back to his position shaking his head. Ruperto Rainerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odon Saena in the 18th minute of play. Gilson Almeida hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute David Floreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Rainerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Hussain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Orlando Mercurio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruperto Rainerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Floreanu in the 30th minute of play. ATYLAS FC were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Leon Platense's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. David Floreanu took the corner. It was a well-played corner which David Floreanu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dario Hussain got free with Orlando Mercurio in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orlando Mercurio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaafar Carrillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. ATYLAS FC's Orlando Mercurio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaafar Carrillo in the 36th minute of play. Orlando Mercurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernán Leandro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Mercurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaafar Carrillo in the 42nd minute of the match. Constantino Anaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ruperto Rainerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Ruperto Rainerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosimo Cinalli in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Cosimo Cinalli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute Dario Hussain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Mercurio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Mercurio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dario Hussain went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Leon Platense's Klaas Alberts was substituted for Celso Havier. Gaafar Carrillo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as ATYLAS FC's David Floreanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ruperto Rainerio. That made the score 2-2 after 65 minutes of play. If Dario Hussain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orlando Mercurio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaafar Carrillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. With a little luck, Leon Platense's Ruperto Rainerio got control of the ball when Odon Saena tried to sneak it across the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Leon Platense's Dario Hussain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Orlando Mercurio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. 88 minutes into the match, ATYLAS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaafar Carrillo came free, but Orlando Mercurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Gaafar Carrillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leon Platense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Leon Platense's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
