Placido Patxi started the match with the kick off. Iwo Jastrowicz made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Alvaro Ebardo sent off a good shot on target. Placido Patxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute, Ezequiel Onbera made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Ugutz. Países Bajos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ezequiel Onbera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Angelo Ugutz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iwo Jastrowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Artaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Países Bajos's Alvaro Ebardo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iwo Jastrowicz. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. In the 34th minute, Domonkos Váczi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Ugutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Patxi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Angelino Boni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39 minutes of play, Países Bajos's Timos Kavourakis made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iwo Jastrowicz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Angelo Ugutz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Savier in the 42nd minute of the match. Países Bajos's Angelo Ugutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Onbera in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Placido Patxi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Ugutz. Países Bajos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Placido Patxi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timos Kavourakis was the one to do the kick off. Iwo Jastrowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Artaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timos Kavourakis in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iwo Jastrowicz saved Espinillo from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Timos Kavourakis put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Iwo Jastrowicz. Iwo Jastrowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Artaldo in the 55th minute of play. Angelo Ugutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Savier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Países Bajos's Camilo Artaldo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iwo Jastrowicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Camilo Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Sotil hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Timos Kavourakis struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Iwo Jastrowicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Países Bajos. The supporters of Países Bajos booed when Espinillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Sotil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70thth minute of the game Alvaro Ebardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espinillo's Iwo Jastrowicz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Placido Patxi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Angelo Ugutz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 75th minute Placido Patxi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Ugutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalmacio Tebaldo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Países Bajos made a substitution. Orlando Peixoto replaced Timos Kavourakis. A collision led to Países Bajos getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dalmacio Tebaldo hit a great ball. In the 80th minute of the match, Amado Savier tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Angelo Ugutz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 81st minute Camilo Artaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwo Jastrowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Países Bajos's Angelo Ugutz got control of the ball when Ezequiel Onbera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iwo Jastrowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Tebaldo in the 91st minute of the match. Ezequiel Onbera's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Angelo Ugutz firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Países Bajos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Espinillo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
