Bruno Macario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Truls Kirkemo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Macario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vassilis Vonortas in the 13th minute of play. Bruno Macario made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Wilfredo Figueroa sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Berbiz in the 21st minute of play forced Berutti FC's goalkeeper Bruno Macario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The C.A. Calamuchita fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when C.A. Calamuchita's Vassilis Vonortas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Berutti FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
