In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind All Boys 22's goalkeeper Ezequiel Fresco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laprida's Denis Peru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Freire in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Celino got free with Ezequiel Fresco in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Ábel Pasqualini got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ezequiel Fresco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 19th minute Barnaba Karp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Fresco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Laprida's corner Silvano Arotza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ezequiel Fresco quite easily take care of the ball. In the 38th match minute, Laprida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnaba Karp to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Walter Heggert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denis Peru was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 41st minute João Francisco Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Peru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ezequiel Fresco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Celino in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute Barnaba Karp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Fresco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Barnaba Karp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ezequiel Fresco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Laprida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Celino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind All Boys 22's goalkeeper Ezequiel Fresco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ramachandramurthy Wucherpfennig showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Yngve Uggla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Walter Heggert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denis Peru was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 90th minute, Frank Zappa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Peru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Heggert, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Silvano Arotza fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laprida's protests and gave Silvano Arotza a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Laprida got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Arotza. The All Boys 22 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing All Boys 22 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
