With a little luck, CA Trapito's Teofilo Faro got control of the ball when Suban Arriba tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Chelco FC's Torbjörn Hökqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teofilo Faro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Saverio Fidele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Astudillo in the 9th minute of play. Saverio Fidele didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Astudillo went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torbjörn Hökqvist in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teofilo Faro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chelco FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Flavio Profeta in the 19th minute. Saverio Fidele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Astudillo in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th play minute Torbjörn Hökqvist came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Teofilo Faro. 1-1. In the 30th minute Roberto Astudillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Fidele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CA Trapito were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Chelco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nejat Alp Köker took the corner. After 34 minutes CA Trapito's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Flavio Profeta who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper, Teofilo Faro, was totally fooled by Chelco FC's Baldomero Rufio, who 36 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Astudillo in the 46th minute of play forced Chelco FC's goalkeeper Saverio Fidele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Astudillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saverio Fidele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Suban Arriba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind CA Trapito's goalkeeper Teofilo Faro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 53 minutes into the game, Torbjörn Hökqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Teofilo Faro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Suban Arriba might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teofilo Faro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Suban Arriba ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 60 minutes, Torbjörn Hökqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torbjörn Hökqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chelco FC's Amado Travieso was substituted for Godofredo Ugutz. Chelco FC's Leonardo Aznaro was substituted for Baldomero Rufio. In the 64th minute of the match CA Trapito got a corner. Chelco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nejat Alp Köker ran over to the corner to take the kick. The CA Trapito fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when CA Trapito's Gaspar Benat looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gaspar Benat struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Saverio Fidele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Trapito. 74 minutes into the match, Chelco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Benat came free, but Saverio Fidele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Roberto Astudillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Chelco FC's Saverio Fidele got control of the ball when Gaspar Benat tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match, Huib Haar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saverio Fidele saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nejat Alp Köker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Fidele having to interfere. A collision led to CA Trapito getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Paulo Maldini hit a great ball. Chelco FC's Saverio Fidele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Astudillo in the 91st minute of play. Teofilo Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjörn Hökqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
