The audience thought a goal was coming when Lu Bin Yuan got free with Lucio Afonso in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. But to his dismay, Oliver Bierhoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 25 played minutes TALLERES DE CBA got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Flores. Matías Patrone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josué Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 31 minutes, Oliver Bierhoff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Delfines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver Bierhoff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Oliver Bierhoff notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of TALLERES DE CBA's Lucio Afonso. Lucio Afonso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Bierhoff couldn't finish the play.
