Carlos Fernando Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Alirio Ducoing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Lluques in the 8th minute of play forced Unión De Santa Fe's goalkeeper Elias Rozarius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Fernando Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alirio Ducoing having to interfere. Elias Rozarius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Henrico in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Lluques in the 14th minute of play forced Unión De Santa Fe's goalkeeper Elias Rozarius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Unión De Santa Fe's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Julian Raymundo was slow to take the kick. During this time Q. T. I.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led Q. T. I.'s Julian Raymundo to fire away a dangerous shot which Elias Rozarius despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Unión De Santa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Lluques came free, but Elias Rozarius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Q. T. I.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Julian Raymundo in the 28th minute. Q. T. I.'s Alirio Ducoing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Q. T. I. from getting a goal against them. When Jonas Henrico came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Q. T. I. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Henrico couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Q. T. I.'s Wilfredo Uxio got a free kick in the 35th minute. Alirio Ducoing made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Kostas Skilitsis sent off a good shot on target. Q. T. I.'s Wilfredo Uxio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arnaldo Vellito in the 41 minute of the game. Elias Rozarius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Henrico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Q. T. I. made a substitution. Horacio Dolfo replaced Leopoldo Vermudo. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Fernando Fantini was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Q. T. I.'s goal looked a bit too open when Yang Zhan Xiao came free, but Alirio Ducoing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Anibal Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute Anibal Lluques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Rozarius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alirio Ducoing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando Fantini in the 78th minute of the match. Unión De Santa Fe's Elias Rozarius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Unión De Santa Fe from getting a goal against them. Q. T. I.'s Alirio Ducoing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Fantini in the 86th minute of play. Carlos Fernando Fantini scored 1-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alirio Ducoing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Q. T. I. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
