The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Everardo Mendebal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calistrat Geangu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Belmiro came free, but Everardo Mendebal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Gastres FC were the better team. Gastres FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
