An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Tiniebra in the 8th minute of play forced Sportivo Constitución's goalkeeper Apolo Aguirre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Everardo Mendebal managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Sportivo Constitución's Arsenio Erico fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Apolo Aguirre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Tiniebra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Sportivo Constitución's Everardo Mendebal threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arsenio Erico, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 20th minute, Pablo Mendiko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Norberto Theodore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustino Dimo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Everardo Mendebal came out and tried to block the shot, but Faustino Dimo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. Everardo Mendebal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Theodore in the 27th minute of play. Sportivo Constitución's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Raul Moise in the 28th minute. The corner led Sportivo Constitución's Raul Moise to fire away a dangerous shot which Everardo Mendebal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Apolo Aguirre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Inko in the 30th minute of the match. Ciriaco Medardo lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sportivo Constitución! Sportivo Constitución:s Apolo Aguirre showed great skill when he stopped Victorino Tiniebra:s penalty. 34 minutes into the match, Venancio Inko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apolo Aguirre. Sportivo Constitución's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Venancio Inko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 39 minutes into the match, Sportivo Constitución's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Mendiko came free, but Apolo Aguirre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabio Perez hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Venancio Inko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Aguirre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

52 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's Venancio Inko fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Everardo Mendebal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Theodore in the 57th minute of the match. Sportivo Constitución's Hermengildo Etxatxu was substituted for Faustino Dimo. El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's Luis Salbatore was substituted for Venancio Inko. Everardo Mendebal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iker Bartolome during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sportivo Constitución were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
