Dorival Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Tino having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Pandilla Cobayeril's Dorival Alvarenga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norberto Tino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, M. Agus Young took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Borys Gruchacz to make any attempt to save it. 13 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Alvarenga came free, but Norberto Tino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match Celedonio Iratze sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norberto Tino skillfully saved the ball. In the 44th minute of the game Carlos Cubero made a throw-in which M. Agus Young played forward. When Levan Poggenborg came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Santa Lucia de Merlo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Levan Poggenborg couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorival Alvarenga made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, M. Agus Young managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Lucia de Merlo's supporters rose to their feet, but M. Agus Young was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Borys Gruchacz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Pandilla Cobayeril's Dorival Alvarenga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Norberto Tino. That made the score 1-2 after 68 minutes of play. Pandilla Cobayeril's Gerardo Rufo was substituted for Gus Casado. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Polo Quinteros was substituted for M. Agus Young. In the 76th minute, Bumin Kağan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Norberto Tino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bumin Kağan. After 80 minutes, Bumin Kağan made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Norberto Tino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alvaro Llorienzo kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The Pandilla Cobayeril supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pandilla Cobayeril would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
