Marcos Acuña was slow to take the kick. During this time CACYFA's players had a chance to rest. The corner led CACYFA's Marcos Acuña to fire away a dangerous shot which Lorenzo Beckman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 33 minutes, Atilano Jerico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CACYFA and the Dragons AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an all-out effort, Dragons AFC's Luis Quirce threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Prime Hock, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by CACYFA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
