Pekka Rollins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Abadia having to interfere. In the 16th minute Argentinean Patriots 1816 were awarded a corner. Bello Cura went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Argentinean Patriots 1816's corner Bello Cura fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Martin Abadia quite easily take care of the ball. In the 18th minute Candido Ospin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Rio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alto Porro hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Moises Luzea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidoro Rio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pekka Rollins got free with Martin Abadia in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Argentinean Patriots 1816's zone, Ştefan Aluneanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidoro Rio came out of the goal and Ştefan Aluneanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pekka Rollins might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Abadia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pekka Rollins ran back to his position shaking his head. Martin Abadia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pekka Rollins, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Isidoro Rio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Luzea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute of the match Los Piratas FC got a corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bello Cura in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Abadia saved Los Piratas FC from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Cervera to make the kick off. Bello Cura might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Abadia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Los Piratas FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
