But to his dismay, Cristian Naike quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 19 minutes into the match, Cristian Naike notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of pciclon's Nemesio Cerilo. Nemesio Cerilo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Vélez Juniors's Benigno Gurutz got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Cristian Naike took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nemesio Cerilo. Nemesio Cerilo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Elpidio Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the game, Cristian Naike cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Nemesio Cerilo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elpidio Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Fidele in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Santos Fonda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vélez Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave pciclon the free kick. Santos Fonda hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiburcio Quinteros was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Tiburcio Quinteros made a precise shot to the right of Nemesio Cerilo. pciclon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. 54 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Fidele came free, but Elpidio Vitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, pciclon's Nemesio Cerilo got control of the ball when Cristian Naike tried to sneak it across the goal line. pciclon's Nemesio Cerilo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save pciclon from getting a goal against them. Cristian Naike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Nemesio Cerilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Fidele in the 83rd minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. pciclon's Nemesio Cerilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Naike in the 85th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Pastor Fidele cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-7. Elpidio Vitin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nemesio Cerilo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elvio Checa's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The pciclon supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vélez Juniors's performance. The match ended with a win for Vélez Juniors.
