Elpidio Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavi Orange, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Isaio came free, but Elpidio Vitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benito Isaio made a kick off. Tapani Walker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Fonda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tapani Walker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Naike, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Elpidio Vitin made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Ezequiel Polo sent off a good shot on target.
