A well-hit corner resulted in Sergio Arnalt heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Teodosio Sergi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Aballe, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 14 minutes Velez Sarsfield's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilfredo Vitin who took care of the corner kick. After 17 played minutes Rocamora AFC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Vitin. In the 19th minute Wilfredo Vitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Sergi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justo Chap was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. One of Rocamora AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Velez Sarsfield:s goal. In the 26th match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ando Averin to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Venancio Arnas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pascual Abascal hit a great ball. Rocamora AFC made a substitution. Jacobo Gabon replaced Sergio Arnalt. Velez Sarsfield's Leandro Berti was substituted for Ignacio Berenguer. Pascual Abascal kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Augusto Cordario struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Venancio Arnas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez Sarsfield.
