After a rather tough play, Brujas KV's Martin Mundo got a free kick in the 41st minute. With a little luck, Brujas KV's Petruț Dicu got control of the ball when Filip Josefsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's Torrey Molloy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dionisio Raphael narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
