An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Salvatore in the 13th minute of play forced Deportivo Marplatense's goalkeeper Mikael Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kirima FC's goalkeeper Pedro Arias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Cristobal Eneto came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Deportivo Marplatense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Eneto couldn't finish the play. Deportivo Marplatense were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Kirima FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven-Ove Olsson took the corner. Sven-Ove Olsson made a great header on Deportivo Marplatense's corner, it was just that Kirima FC's Pedro Arias managed to reach the ball for a save. Mikael Sjögren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelio Salvatore, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Andrew Robertson might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Arias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrew Robertson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th match minute, Deportivo Marplatense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bon Scott to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Kirima FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Eneto came free, but Pedro Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Cristobal Eneto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Arias, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Emiliano Cabeza made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Eneto in the 51st minute of play forced Kirima FC's goalkeeper Pedro Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bon Scott kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Emiliano Cabeza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Mikael Sjögren made a huge save. With his leg Mikael Sjögren managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Kirima FC's Emiliano Cabeza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Deportivo Marplatense booed when Kirima FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Oso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristobal Eneto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Arias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Marplatense's Luisito Dominic got a free kick in the 61st minute. When Andrew Robertson came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Deportivo Marplatense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrew Robertson couldn't finish the play. Juan Bembe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikael Sjögren came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Kirima FC's Juan Bembe. But to his dismay, Juan Bembe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 74 minutes into the match, Kirima FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Eneto came free, but Pedro Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikael Sjögren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Salvatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Emiliano Cabeza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kirima FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Pedro Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Eneto, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Marplatense's Keith Richards got a free kick in the 86th minute. The supporters of Kirima FC booed when Deportivo Marplatense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Dominic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Bembe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Juan Bembe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Deportivo Marplatense were victorious despite being under pressure from Kirima FC for much of the match.
