Belchior Saldanha came out of the goal and Luis Vázquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belchior Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Vázquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Luis Vázquez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of La Gallardeta's Belchior Saldanha. Belchior Saldanha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amancio Claris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Olof Eliasson in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gabriel Porfiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 20th minute, Luis Vázquez made a precise shot to the right of Belchior Saldanha. La Gallardeta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Eliseo Bittor was slow to take the kick. During this time Luganeros AFC's players had a chance to rest. Gabriel Porfiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Gartzi in the 35th minute. La Gallardeta's Belchior Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Vázquez in the 37th minute of play. Belchior Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Vázquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes La Gallardeta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eliseo Bittor who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Eliseo Bittor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Belchior Saldanha quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 42 minutes into the game, Luganeros AFC's Luis Vázquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Belchior Saldanha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Luis Vázquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luganeros AFC's Yu Quan Di was substituted for Ricardo Oinaz. After the first half Luganeros AFC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yu Quan Di to make the kick off. After some careless play in the La Gallardeta defense, Yu Quan Di kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Belchior Saldanha. The La Gallardeta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Belchior Saldanha should have stopped the shot. Gabriel Porfiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Olof Eliasson in the 59th minute of play. Yu Quan Di could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Belchior Saldanha made a huge save. In the 65th minute, Luganeros AFC's Yu Quan Di ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Belchior Saldanha. Belchior Saldanha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Belchior Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Yu Quan Di sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to La Gallardeta getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Deyan Iordănescu hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Deyan Iordănescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Rey Ronaldo came free, but Belchior Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belchior Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Eduardo Liher sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Belchior Saldanha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yu Quan Di. With a little luck, La Gallardeta's Belchior Saldanha got control of the ball when Yu Quan Di tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 92 played minutes Luganeros AFC got a freekick which was hit by Yu Quan Di. Gabriel Porfiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Gartzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Porfiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Gartzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. After 97 played minutes Luganeros AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Liher. After 98 played minutes La Gallardeta got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Gartzi. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Luganeros AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
