Racing Club's Lucas Eladio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rodrigo Montes in the 5 minute of the game. Dario Opilano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernabe Armani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Cornelio Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Alexander Palmer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Growlithe FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 20th minute Alexander Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Alexander Palmer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornelio Cordearo. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornelio Cordearo should have stopped the shot. Cornelio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Palmer in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Graciani in the 24th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Cornelio Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Alfredo Graciani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Graciani came free, but Cornelio Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernabe Armani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 80 minutes into the match, Racing Club's Epifanio Txomin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernabe Armani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Epifanio Txomin took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernabe Armani. Bernabe Armani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. With a little luck, Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo got control of the ball when Alfredo Graciani tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute, Rodrigo Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernabe Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Txomin, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Growlithe FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Nevada was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Club's players had a chance to rest. Rodrigo Montes hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The Growlithe FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Racing Club from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
