The audience held their breath when Mario Silban in the 43rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Garaona Alfeiran's left hand side. Ramiro Lanos short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Garaona Alfeiran to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Cesaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Eladio. Nacho Roca's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Cornelio Cordearo - 1-1 was put on the score board in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Cesaro got free with Cornelio Cordearo in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute Samuel Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garaona Alfeiran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Racing Club made a substitution. Miroslaw Jajecznica replaced Ramiro Lano. In the 70th minute MARTINETA were awarded a corner. Nacho Roca went to the cornerflag to take it. Nacho Roca made a great header on MARTINETA's corner, it was just that Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo managed to reach the ball for a save. Nacho Roca hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Nacho Roca came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the MARTINETA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nacho Roca couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute Epifanio Txomin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garaona Alfeiran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MARTINETA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nacho Roca in the 95th minute.
