Silvestre Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Cordero in the 11th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Marcelo Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Peli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martín Ferreyra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvestre Peli having to make a save. Hauk Hareide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hauk Hareide in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dražen Ladić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Dražen Ladić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hauk Hareide in the 25th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, La Bichineta's goal looked a bit too open when Martín Ferreyra came free, but Silvestre Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorival de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Cordero took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvestre Peli. Silvestre Peli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Toto Ferdi scored 1-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dražen Ladić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th minute, Marcelo Cordero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvestre Peli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Hauk Hareide made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goal looked a bit too open when Hauk Hareide came free, but Dražen Ladić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT defense, Hauk Hareide kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dražen Ladić. The Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dražen Ladić should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goalkeeper Dražen Ladić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hauk Hareide blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dražen Ladić having to make a save. Dražen Ladić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hauk Hareide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Bichineta made a substitution. Carolo Abancens replaced Hauk Hareide. Pål Säv was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Joaquín Ybarra was substituted for Cristobal Polo. Silvestre Peli made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Marcelo Cordero sent off a good shot on target. Marcelo Cordero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Silvestre Peli made a huge save. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goalkeeper Dražen Ladić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT booed when La Bichineta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pål Säv didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th match minute, La Bichineta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pål Säv to maneuver through the defense.
