The Talleres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 王竞耀 should have stopped the shot. In the 13th match minute, AC Batán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Serapio to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes AC Batán got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Serapio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrzej Badanowski in the 26th minute of play forced AC Batán's goalkeeper Ni Le Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ni Le Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrzej Badanowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Talleres's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lukita Modrić in the 31st minute. Lukita Modrić made a great header on Talleres's corner, it was just that AC Batán's Ni Le Zheng managed to reach the ball for a save. 32 minutes into the match, Talleres's Andrzej Badanowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ni Le Zheng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ni Le Zheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Badanowski in the 34th minute of play. AC Batán's Ni Le Zheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrzej Badanowski in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th minute Andrzej Badanowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Le Zheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Lukita Modrić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Talleres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Batán the free kick. A collision led to Talleres getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Lukita Modrić hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Nogueira in the 49th minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper 王竞耀 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 played minutes AC Batán got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Martinez. Ni Le Zheng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrzej Badanowski in the 55th minute. In the 60th match minute, Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedele Talamo to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Gong Feng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Acácio Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Acácio Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 王竞耀 having to interfere. AC Batán's Zdzislaw Ledochowski was substituted for Lautaro Martinez. After 81 played minutes Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Lukita Modrić. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Cido Cardozo sped through Talleres's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 王竞耀. In the 91st minute Cido Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 王竞耀 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Cido Cardozo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Talleres's 王竞耀 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Talleres's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
