When Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Jyrki Sillanpää in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 26thth minute of the game Todd Gronow who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 27 minutes Los Hijos de Doña Beija's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zhuo Bo Bo who took care of the corner kick. Todd Gronow was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 34 minutes into the match, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Janpier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albino Brion. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jyrki Sillanpää in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Janpier saved Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC from getting behind. After 39 minutes Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Demy Ottens who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Andrea Pirlo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Higinio Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Todd Gronow in the 42nd minute of the match. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jyrki Sillanpää in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albino Brion to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 66th match minute, Los Hijos de Doña Beija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Indiana Jones to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Gartxot in the 68th minute of play forced Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Janpier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Demy Ottens got a free kick in the 78th minute. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Mariusz Ratulowski was substituted for Todd Gronow. The supporters of Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC booed when Los Hijos de Doña Beija was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demy Ottens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Janpier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Hayri Pitirimov got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mariusz Ratulowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Higinio Aguilera came out and tried to block the shot, but Mariusz Ratulowski slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 85th minute. Higinio Aguilera was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Mariusz Ratulowski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mariusz Ratulowski really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2.
