In the 9thth minute of the game Victoriano Iraunkor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Pitman FC got a corner. Menchu FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zhu Yue ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Zhu Yue got free in front of the goal in the 16th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Camilo Salvidor was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhu Yue in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Salvidor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. But to his dismay, Caetano Linhares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Camilo Salvidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhu Yue, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Marcos Lorien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 31st minute of the match. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhu Yue in the 32nd minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Zhu Yue cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Camilo Salvidor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Camilo Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Iraunkor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Iraunkor in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Pitman FC's Marcos Lorien got control of the ball when Gabriele Batistuta tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pitman FC's Santo Playo got a free kick in the 38th minute. Primitivo Rocendo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Lorien. Pitman FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victoriano Iraunkor to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victoriano Iraunkor got free with Camilo Salvidor in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Victoriano Iraunkors short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Camilo Salvidor to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 56th minute of play forced Pitman FC's goalkeeper Marcos Lorien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriele Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Menchu FC's Carlos Campelo suffered a concussion after 71 minutes and had to leave the field. Pitman FC's Sebastean Gentiletti was substituted for Victoriano Iraunkor. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when Pitman FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukasz Oryl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastean Gentiletti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Salvidor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Menchu FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pitman FC for a fine match.
