Carlos Alberto Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Ranolfo having to interfere. With a little luck, AC LeX Luthor's Maurício Bomba got control of the ball when Traian Blăniță tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Traian Blăniță took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Maurício Bomba to make any attempt to save it. Marcos Ranolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from D.J. 赵云 in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Carlos Alberto Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC LeX Luthor's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Ranolfo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Beltza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 94th minute Cornelio Ruisko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Bomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in AC LeX Luthor's zone, Kraig Fred stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Bomba came out of the goal and Kraig Fred tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Estudiantes de América fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AC LeX Luthor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
