Spectators: 10858 (Terracing: 8145, Seating: 2497, VIP seats: 216) Unidad de Matanza's Nestor Bâru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcelino Flor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Bâru in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yu Jian Tian in the 7th minute of play forced Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Venancio Cristofol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venancio Cristofol came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Yu Jian Tian. But to his dismay, Yu Jian Tian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 18 minutes into the game, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Yu Jian Tian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Venancio Cristofol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 27th minute Yu Jian Tian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venancio Cristofol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yu Jian Tian in the 34th minute of play. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Marcelino Flor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Bâru in the 38th minute of play. Yu Jian Tian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Venancio Cristofol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. If Yannick Bartz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar Okopny hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yu Jian Tian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clodoveo Orlin during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Unidad de Matanza getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Clodoveo Orlin hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Wen Hai Le got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Lotfi Ziadi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unidad de Matanza made a substitution. Michal Stehno replaced Nestor Bâru. Unidad de Matanza's Venancio Cristofol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Sand in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ got a corner. Unidad de Matanza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ovidio Marin ran over to the corner to take the kick. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Ovidio Marin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Venancio Cristofol in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ovidio Marin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Venancio Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Marcelino Flor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maarten Aelbrecht in the 76th minute of play. When ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's José Sand in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Unidad de Matanza's goalie prevented a goal. 83 minutes into the match, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Stehno came free, but Marcelino Flor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute José Sand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venancio Cristofol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Sand, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Everardo Hartz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ defense, Michal Stehno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelino Flor. The ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelino Flor should have stopped the shot. After having played for 93 minutes, José Sand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Sand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Michal Stehno made a precise shot to the right of Marcelino Flor. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
