Spectators: 6865 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1865, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rodd Fuller made the kick off which started today's match. The long shot by Wayne Philpott in the 4th minute really tested Loyd Hughes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some careless play in the Timsbury defense, Rodd Fuller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chaz Smart. The Timsbury fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chaz Smart should have stopped the shot. Vincent Milner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Loyd Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Timsbury getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Christian Mortimer hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Jerome Rocastle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chaz Smart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Playing Place's Jerome Rocastle got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Playing Place's goalkeeper Loyd Hughes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vincent Milner. In the 26th match minute, Playing Place was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Jennings to maneuver through the defense. Chaz Smart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerome Rocastle, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Rodd Fuller struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Chaz Smart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Playing Place. If Rodd Fuller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chaz Smart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodd Fuller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 43 minutes, Perry Foreman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Timsbury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perry Foreman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Perry Foreman was the one to do the kick off. A nice corner shot did that Stewart Alderson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Loyd Hughes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Christian Mortimer kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Playing Place's Rodd Fuller ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Chaz Smart. Chaz Smart yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. 61 minutes into the match, Jerome Rocastle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chaz Smart. Timsbury's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerome Rocastle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerome Rocastle got free with Chaz Smart in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute of the match Sammy Berryman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chaz Smart skillfully saved the ball. In the 72nd minute Rodd Fuller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chaz Smart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Playing Place's Loyd Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Milner in the 73rd minute of play. If Jerome Rocastle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Playing Place's Jerome Rocastle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chaz Smart narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rodd Fuller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Craig Boatman fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Timsbury's protests and gave Craig Boatman a yellow card for diving instead.
