Blair Greenfield showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Brandon Ellis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Froggatt having to interfere. The supporters of Burton upon Trent FC booed when Hardwick United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joe Brewer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zak Carr hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Brandon Ellis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brandon Ellis to strike the kick off in the second half. Hardwick United's Johnny Froggatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon Ellis in the 53rd minute of play. Brandon Ellis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johnny Froggatt having to make a save. The Burton upon Trent FC fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Burton upon Trent FC's Curtis Crittenden looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 61st minute Brandon Ellis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Froggatt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Curtis Crittenden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johnny Froggatt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brandon Ellis in the 65th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes Burton upon Trent FC got a freekick which was hit by Calvin Saville. After 72 minutes, Zak Carr mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hardwick United and the Burton upon Trent FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Zak Carr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brandon Ellis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Clive Morris came out of the goal and Blair Greenfield tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sean Burley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
