High Hesket City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Antony Galloway scored to the left of an out of position Ben Vaughan, making the score, 2-0. Antony Galloway received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ben Vaughan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Rhys Colley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dakar SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rhys Colley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Vaughan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roger Arrowsmith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Vaughan having to interfere. Rhys Colley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ben Vaughan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Ben Vaughan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rhys Colley showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 20 minute of play. Roger Arrowsmith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ben Vaughan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Roger Arrowsmith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ben Vaughan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roger Arrowsmith in the 25th minute. Ross Beecham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Vaughan having to interfere. High Hesket City's Ben Vaughan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save High Hesket City from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Olly May dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ben Vaughan, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Ross Beecham kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ben Vaughan. That made the score 5-0 in the 38 minute of play. If Roger Arrowsmith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dakar SC's Toby Grainger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Seward in the 44th minute of play. Roger Arrowsmith recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rhys Colley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rhys Colley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Quentin Paine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Vaughan having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Allan Tinker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dakar SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Tinker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the game, Dakar SC's Rhys Colley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ben Vaughan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 66th minute, Duncan Moody hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Roger Arrowsmith had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ben Vaughan. High Hesket City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Arrowsmith was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. The supporters of High Hesket City booed when Dakar SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Tinker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rhys Colley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roger Arrowsmith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the High Hesket City defense, Ross Beecham kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ben Vaughan. The High Hesket City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ben Vaughan should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Galloway in the 80th minute of play forced High Hesket City's goalkeeper Ben Vaughan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ross Beecham struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ben Vaughan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dakar SC. Russ Weeks hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Olly May scored 9-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ben Vaughan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. High Hesket City's Ben Vaughan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antony Galloway in the 93rd minute of play. Dakar SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
