After 3 played minutes, Fordingbridge's Calvin Tyrell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Toby Grainger came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fordingbridge reached it. A collision led to Fordingbridge getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Damion Foreman hit a great ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Olly May managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dakar SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olly May was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Galloway in the 11th minute of play forced Fordingbridge's goalkeeper Jude Boyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Roger Arrowsmith's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jude Boyd was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the game, Dakar SC's Antony Galloway nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jude Boyd made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ross Beecham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antony Galloway took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jude Boyd. Jude Boyd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rhys Colley in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jude Boyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was Rhys Colley who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Dakar SC's Rhys Colley to fire away a dangerous shot which Jude Boyd despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 38th minute, Roger Arrowsmith left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dakar SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After having played for 42 minutes, Roger Arrowsmith managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dakar SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Arrowsmith was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jon Chamberlain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Toby Grainger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Antony Galloway managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dakar SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antony Galloway was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jude Boyd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Dakar SC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rhys Colley to make the kick off. Ross Beecham kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match Richard Kershaw sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Toby Grainger skillfully saved the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Ross Beecham dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jude Boyd, 0-4. Jude Boyd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antony Galloway in the 58th minute of the match. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 59th minute, but Jude Boyd got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Fordingbridge hanging dry this time. When Antony Galloway came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Dakar SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antony Galloway couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, Dakar SC's Roger Arrowsmith sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jude Boyd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antony Galloway's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jude Boyd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Galloway in the 66th minute of play forced Fordingbridge's goalkeeper Jude Boyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fordingbridge's zone, Ross Beecham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jude Boyd came out of the goal and Ross Beecham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Roger Arrowsmith came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Dakar SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Arrowsmith couldn't finish the play. Jude Boyd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rhys Colley in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Rhys Colley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fordingbridge's Jude Boyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Tinker in the 86th minute of play. Roger Arrowsmith's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Jude Boyd skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jude Boyd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ross Beecham went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Antony Galloway kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Antony Galloway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jude Boyd having to interfere. Dakar SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
