In the 22nd minute Matty Knight shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damion Keane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deon Salt in the 48th minute of play forced Turtle Woods's goalkeeper Joel Addison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Turtle Woods were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciprian Soare to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Turtle Woods got a freekick which was hit by Dominic Hazledine. Benjamin Searle shot a long shot in the 53rd minute and a light blocked Joel Addison hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-2. Deon Salt might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Addison. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deon Salt ran back to his position shaking his head. Turtle Woods's Joel Addison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deon Salt in the 58th minute of play. Damion Keane didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Turtle Woods's Ciprian Soare shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Austen Groves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Ciprian Soare managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grantham's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Ciprian Soare sped through Grantham's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Damion Keane. Ciprian Soare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matty Knight could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Damion Keane made a huge save. Damion Keane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Austen Groves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 83 minutes, Deon Salt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grantham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deon Salt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Addison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deon Salt in the 83rd minute of the match. Louie Sutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Turtle Woods played a much better game than Grantham and deserved their victory. The Grantham players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
