Spectators: 7600 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 100) St Annes on Sea United's Reggie Gale started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yo-Yo Aria FC's Ben Purkiss was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 8th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in St Annes on Sea United's zone, Frankie Myers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sly Trueman came out of the goal and Frankie Myers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sly Trueman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Purkiss, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 22 played minutes St Annes on Sea United got a freekick which was hit by Marlon Duckworth. In the 25thth minute of the game Ben Purkiss who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but St Annes on Sea United's Sly Trueman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sly Trueman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Purkiss in the 28th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Yo-Yo Aria FC's Ben Purkiss dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 38th minute Ben Purkiss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sly Trueman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Preston in the 39th minute of play forced St Annes on Sea United's goalkeeper Sly Trueman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Yo-Yo Aria FC's Ben Purkiss ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sly Trueman. Sly Trueman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Ben Purkiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Sly Trueman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ben Purkiss was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Ben Purkiss who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but St Annes on Sea United's Sly Trueman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 53rd minute, Ben Purkiss left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yo-Yo Aria FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The Yo-Yo Aria FC fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Yo-Yo Aria FC's Ben Purkiss looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ben Purkiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Sly Trueman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sly Trueman came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Yo-Yo Aria FC's Basil Pilgrim. But to his dismay, Basil Pilgrim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. The supporters of Yo-Yo Aria FC booed when St Annes on Sea United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Bailey didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Yo-Yo Aria FC's Frankie Myers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sly Trueman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. After a rather tough play, St Annes on Sea United's Reggie Gale got a free kick in the 78th minute. Frankie Myers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ben Purkiss's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sly Trueman was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, Abraham Preston had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sly Trueman. St Annes on Sea United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abraham Preston was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. Reggie Gale charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reggie Gale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
