Abraham Preston kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Roger Lester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Purkiss in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to Forest Hill getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Al Higginson hit a great ball. Bruce Jones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Reno Cimas made a huge save. The supporters of Yo-Yo Aria FC booed when Forest Hill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buster Moore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Al Higginson's late challenge caught a Yo-Yo Aria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Al Higginson helped the player get up and apologised. Ben Purkiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Roger Lester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yo-Yo Aria FC were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Forest Hill's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frankie Myers took the corner. Ben Purkiss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basil Pilgrim was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute.
