Phillip Deveraux was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 6thth minute of the game Kris Upson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ashton-in-Makerfield's Phillip Deveraux was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Harvey Colbert hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Kris Upson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Phillip Deveraux was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 14 minutes into the game, Harvey Colbert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ashton-in-Makerfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dakar Olympique the free kick. Harvey Colbert kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kris Upson in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Phillip Deveraux prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Kris Upson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Phillip Deveraux was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. The Dakar Olympique fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Dakar Olympique's Kris Upson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lee Hislop recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Dakar Olympique's Kris Upson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Phillip Deveraux made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Phillip Deveraux dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Phillip Deveraux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kris Upson, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The Dakar Olympique fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Dakar Olympique's Kris Upson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
The wind increased when Kris Upson made the kick off in the second half. Kris Upson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Phillip Deveraux came out and tried to block the shot, but Kris Upson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 55th minute. When Kris Upson came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Dakar Olympique fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kris Upson couldn't finish the play. Kris Upson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 61st play minutes Kris Upson shot 0-11, a short shot which went by Phillip Deveraux and just under the crossbar into goal. When Kris Upson came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Dakar Olympique fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kris Upson couldn't finish the play. Ashton-in-Makerfield's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Geoff Vassell scored to the left of an out of position Phillip Deveraux, making the score, 0-12. This resulted in a 0-13 score and a disappointed Phillip Deveraux as he didn't even see the shot coming. Lee Hislop recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phillip Deveraux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kris Upson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kris Upson in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Phillip Deveraux saved Ashton-in-Makerfield from getting behind. After 78 minutes, Kris Upson made it 0-14 with a short kick to the right side. Ashton-in-Makerfield's Phillip Deveraux tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute, Kris Upson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Phillip Deveraux was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st minute, Lee Hislop got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Phillip Deveraux stood somewhat misplaced when Graeme Tinker came free in front of goal and shot 0-17 to the left of him in the 93 minute.
