Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Valberg Finnsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. With his leg Ernir Elmarsson managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Erco's Bryntýr Haraldsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Axel Orrason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernir Elmarsson having to interfere. Erco's Axel Orrason got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hallvarður Álfgrímsson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Litlu Uglurnar's zone, Bryntýr Haraldsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernir Elmarsson came out of the goal and Bryntýr Haraldsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bryntýr Haraldsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Steinberg Rafnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valberg Finnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Rafael Þengilsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Litlu Uglurnar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Erco the free kick. Norðmann Njálsson hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Axel Orrason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernir Elmarsson made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Axel Orrason sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryntýr Haraldsson in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernir Elmarsson saved Litlu Uglurnar from getting behind. In the 40th minute of the match Norðmann Njálsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernir Elmarsson skillfully saved the ball. Knörr Valdimarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Litlu Uglurnar's zone, Knörr Valdimarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernir Elmarsson came out of the goal and Knörr Valdimarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bryntýr Haraldsson made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Litlu Uglurnar's goal looked a bit too open when Bryntýr Haraldsson came free, but Ernir Elmarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bryntýr Haraldsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Erco's goal looked a bit too open when Sölvar Rafnsson came free, but Steinberg Rafnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Axel Orrason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernir Elmarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernir Elmarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryntýr Haraldsson in the 65th minute of play. Axel Orrason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bryntýr Haraldsson in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernir Elmarsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 81 minutes into the match, Erco's goalkeeper Steinberg Rafnsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdimar Eilífsson. When Axel Orrason came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Erco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Orrason couldn't finish the play. The Erco fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Erco's Bryntýr Haraldsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Bryntýr Haraldsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernir Elmarsson was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Axel Orrason might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernir Elmarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Orrason ran back to his position shaking his head. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Erco had played much better football throughout.
