Spectators: 7198 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 155) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bjarnhéðinn Ásgeirsson got the match started through his kick off. Hildimundur Sigurkarlsson's late challenge caught a Lín Kjörvogi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hildimundur Sigurkarlsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 2 played minutes Valyrian Reykjavík FC got a freekick which was hit by Hildimundur Sigurkarlsson. Mímir Gunnarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnólfur Dalmarsson in the 3rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Valyrian Reykjavík FC defense, Dósóþeus Bjarnason kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mímir Gunnarsson. The Valyrian Reykjavík FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mímir Gunnarsson should have stopped the shot. Hildimundur Sigurkarlsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Eldar Axelsson made a huge save. Mímir Gunnarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dósóþeus Bjarnason in the 10th minute of play. Lín Kjörvogi's Eldar Axelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jósúa Sigurjónsson in the 11th minute of play. With 13 minutes on the clock, Kristvarður Daníelsson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 13th minute, Kristvarður Daníelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match Hjálmgeir Búason shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eldar Axelsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gísli Jónasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Eldar Axelsson made a huge save. Gunnólfur Dalmarsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mímir Gunnarsson having to make a save. Uggi Eyþórsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Bjarnhéðinn Ásgeirsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eldar Axelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lín Kjörvogi's Hallsteinn Rafnsson got a free kick in the 29th minute. Uggi Eyþórsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mímir Gunnarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lín Kjörvogi's Gunnólfur Dalmarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gunnólfur Dalmarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gunnólfur Dalmarsson in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mímir Gunnarsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Uggi Eyþórsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Valyrian Reykjavík FC booed when Lín Kjörvogi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hallsteinn Rafnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Gunnólfur Dalmarsson made the kick off in the second half. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Lín Kjörvogi's Uggi Eyþórsson in the 56th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Mímir Gunnarsson was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Valyrian Reykjavík FC through an amazing save. Uggi Eyþórsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mímir Gunnarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Uggi Eyþórsson ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Uggi Eyþórsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mímir Gunnarsson was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Uggi Eyþórsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Mímir Gunnarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Uggi Eyþórsson came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Lín Kjörvogi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uggi Eyþórsson couldn't finish the play. Eldar Axelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gísli Jónasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Valyrian Reykjavík FC's zone, Bragi Erlingsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mímir Gunnarsson came out of the goal and Bragi Erlingsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Valyrian Reykjavík FC's Gísli Jónasson in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lín Kjörvogi's goalie prevented a goal. Eldar Axelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gísli Jónasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 minutes of play, Lín Kjörvogi's Uggi Eyþórsson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mímir Gunnarsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valyrian Reykjavík FC's Mímir Gunnarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Valyrian Reykjavík FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Valyrian Reykjavík FC's zone, Uggi Eyþórsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mímir Gunnarsson came out of the goal and Uggi Eyþórsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valyrian Reykjavík FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Bragi Erlingsson scored to the left of an out of position Mímir Gunnarsson, making the score, 1-3. Lín Kjörvogi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
