Erlendur Ísleifssons short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Pálmar Hafþórsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Flóvent Hjálmarsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pálmar Hafþórsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Pálmar Hafþórsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erlendur Ísleifsson's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After 24 minutes, Jes Ísleifsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the White Horse and the Spretta Höfn players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Spretta Höfn booed when White Horse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jes Ísleifsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oddþór Bjarkason got free with Pálmar Hafþórsson in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the match, White Horse's goalkeeper Pálmar Hafþórsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erlendur Ísleifsson. Oddþór Bjarkason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Pálmar Hafþórsson managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Spretta Höfn's Erlendur Ísleifsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pálmar Hafþórsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flóvent Hjálmarsson in the 35th minute of play. Oddþór Bjarkason scored 2-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pálmar Hafþórsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Oddþór Bjarkason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pálmar Hafþórsson made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Erlendur Ísleifsson sent off a good shot on target. Oddþór Bjarkason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pálmar Hafþórsson having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Elías Eyvindarson made the kick off in the second half. Erlendur Ísleifsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pálmar Hafþórsson having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erlendur Ísleifsson in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pálmar Hafþórsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Erlendur Ísleifsson put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pálmar Hafþórsson. In the 61stth minute of the game Erlendur Ísleifsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but White Horse's Pálmar Hafþórsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the match, White Horse's goal looked a bit too open when Flóvent Hjálmarsson came free, but Pálmar Hafþórsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Spretta Höfn's Erlendur Ísleifsson in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erlendur Ísleifsson in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pálmar Hafþórsson saved White Horse from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Almar Hafþórsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pálmar Hafþórsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erlendur Ísleifsson in the 76th minute of the match. Pálmar Hafþórsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erlendur Ísleifsson went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Pálmar Hafþórsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erlendur Ísleifsson in the 81st minute of play. Oddþór Bjarkason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pálmar Hafþórsson having to interfere. Pálmar Hafþórsson didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Spretta Höfn's Erlendur Ísleifsson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After 89 played minutes Spretta Höfn got a freekick which was hit by Dagfari Stefánsson. Spretta Höfn walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
