Auðbergur Aðalmundsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Patrik Ómarsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Fc Pomykacze's Patrik Ómarsson got control of the ball when Auðbergur Aðalmundsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Freymóður Ævarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Auðbergur Aðalmundsson came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Björg Blönduósi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Auðbergur Aðalmundsson couldn't finish the play. Björg Blönduósi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
