It was a penalty for Björg Blönduósi! Vélaugur Oddmarsson placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 10 minutes of play, Funheitu Tærnar's Vélaugur Oddmarsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Urdin Gandulla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Úlfljótur Elíasson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hreimur Oddsson went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Úlfljótur Elíasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hreimur Oddsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Funheitu Tærnar booed when Björg Blönduósi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freymóður Ævarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Hreimur Oddsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Úlfljótur Elíasson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 35 minutes, Vélaugur Oddmarsson made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Björg Blönduósi's Urdin Gandulla tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Úlfljótur Elíasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hreimur Oddsson in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Vélaugur Oddmarsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Urdin Gandulla was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Hjálmtýr Gissurarson struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Urdin Gandulla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Funheitu Tærnar. The crowd rose to their feet as Funheitu Tærnar's Hringur Gilsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Urdin Gandulla. That made the score 2-4 after 69 minutes of play. In the 72nd minute Hringur Gilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urdin Gandulla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freymóður Ævarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Úlfljótur Elíasson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hringur Gilsson in the 78th minute of play forced Björg Blönduósi's goalkeeper Urdin Gandulla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Funheitu Tærnar's Úlfljótur Elíasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freymóður Ævarsson in the 90th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vélaugur Oddmarsson got free with Urdin Gandulla in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th match minute, Björg Blönduósi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yngvar Snorrason to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
