Salka Skagaströnd's supporters rose to their feet, but Hreiðmar Eyvindarson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Einvarður Svanbergsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hildingur Sólbergsson kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The long shot by Ráðgeir Kristinsson in the 19th minute really tested Einvarður Svanbergsson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A wasted opportunity for Habo Sandgerði. Guðbjörn Brynjarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexíus Júlíansson in the 27th minute of the match. Guðni Nikulásson took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Einvarður Svanbergsson. Alexíus Júlíansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guðbjörn Brynjarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexíus Júlíansson ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle sounded Habo Sandgerði left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Salka Skagaströnd.
