Sigursteinn Viðarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bæron Arndórsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Hildiglúmur Bergþórsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Sigursteinn Viðarsson made a huge save. Hildiglúmur Bergþórsson struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Sigursteinn Viðarsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ísland. Ólíver Sigmundsson hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Ísland's Sandri Svanbergsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Höskuldur Guðnason in the 31st minute of play. Höskuldur Guðnason took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sandri Svanbergsson. Sandri Svanbergsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The Ísland players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fram Bíldudal were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Höskuldur Guðnason to strike the kick off in the second half. Höskuldur Guðnason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aríel Víkingsson came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Fram Bíldudal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aríel Víkingsson couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Fram Bíldudal getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Hróar Arnleifsson hit a great ball. Sandri Svanbergsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Höskuldur Guðnason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Höskuldur Guðnason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Sandri Svanbergsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Fram Bíldudal's goal looked a bit too open when Bæron Arndórsson came free, but Sigursteinn Viðarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Hergill Eðvarsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of Ísland booed when Fram Bíldudal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arilíus Kolsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Hildiglúmur Bergþórsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ísland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hildiglúmur Bergþórsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fram Bíldudal were furious when Friðþór Ásgrímsson was red carded, 88 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Hildiglúmur Bergþórsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
