Gullbrá Stað's Aloyzas Tolvaiša played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örlaugur Hjartarsson in the 7th minute of play. When Gullbrá Stað's Vilberg Árbjartsson in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Viggó Hjálmtýsson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viggó Hjálmtýsson in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aloyzas Tolvaiša prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute Vilberg Árbjartsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigvaldi Andrason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sigvaldi Andrason stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vilberg Árbjartsson's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The audience was convinced that Mikael Njarðarson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aloyzas Tolvaiša was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. The Fell Flateyri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sigvaldi Andrason should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilberg Árbjartsson in the 75th minute of play forced Fell Flateyri's goalkeeper Sigvaldi Andrason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sigvaldi Andrason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilberg Árbjartsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a rather tough play, Fell Flateyri's Tjörfi Hásteinsson got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Siguroddur Gissurarson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sigvaldi Andrason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilberg Árbjartsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Örlaugur Hjartarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
