Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Húgó Greipsson kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Rafstoð Höfn getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Vorm Karelsson hit a great ball. Jörundur Ingmarsson shot from long distance in the 7th minute, but Melkólmur Oddgeirsson was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. When Mikael Njarðarson came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Fell Flateyri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Njarðarson couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute Örlaugur Hjartarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melkólmur Oddgeirsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 played minutes Rafstoð Höfn got a freekick which was hit by Pálmi Guðfinnsson. Fell Flateyri's Sigvaldi Andrason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Húgó Greipsson in the 30th minute of play. Viggó Hjálmtýsson kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Húgó Greipsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Sigvaldi Andrason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Örlaugur Hjartarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Melkólmur Oddgeirsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Örlaugur Hjartarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Örlaugur Hjartarsson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Melkólmur Oddgeirsson 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Ögri Ásgrímsson's late challenge caught a Fell Flateyri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ögri Ásgrímsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rafstoð Höfn's Ögri Ásgrímsson got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute Örlaugur Hjartarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melkólmur Oddgeirsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rafstoð Höfn's goalkeeper Melkólmur Oddgeirsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Húgó Greipsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sigvaldi Andrason read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. If Pálmi Guðfinnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafstoð Höfn's Melkólmur Oddgeirsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Njarðarson in the 67th minute of play. After 72 minutes of play Rafstoð Höfn's Ögri Ásgrímsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ögri Ásgrímsson kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Örlaugur Hjartarsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melkólmur Oddgeirsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Örlaugur Hjartarsson ran back to his position shaking his head. 77 minutes into the match, Rafstoð Höfn's goal looked a bit too open when Mikael Njarðarson came free, but Melkólmur Oddgeirsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikael Njarðarson in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melkólmur Oddgeirsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Örlaugur Hjartarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 90 minutes, Örlaugur Hjartarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fell Flateyri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Örlaugur Hjartarsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mikael Njarðarson might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melkólmur Oddgeirsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikael Njarðarson ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Pálmi Guðfinnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rafstoð Höfn's supporters rose to their feet, but Pálmi Guðfinnsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sigvaldi Andrason breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Fell Flateyri players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
